Elizabeth Leslie Ring Incense Holder - Ash - Small

$11.00

This ceramic incense holder has been made with a handbuilding process, these ancient technique has been used for many of thousands of years. This approach to making pottery allows it to be created without pottery wheels, using only the makers hands and simple tools. I gravitate towards this way of making as it shows evidence of the human hand – the human being behind the work.

Each piece takes time to form by hand, then allowing time to dry for a period of 2-4 weeks before the kiln firing process.

This incense stick holder is designed to be sat on top of open dishes or nestled inside small bowls as wider bases.

Each piece may differ slightly in size and shape, as they are each hand-built – holding individual uniqueness. They may also differ in color due to the different kiln firings. Colors may range from charcoal to black. Please note these incense holders are made to fit Japanese incense sticks only. Please check hole opening sizes below to match compatible incense sticks.

Sold individually.

Handbuilt in Perth, Australia.

Unglazed ash clay.

Measurements: approximately 0.7 in x 0.11 - 0.15 in

Small incense opening: 0.07 in x 0.11 in hole (fits Japanese incense sticks – such as the Mainichi Byakudan Everyday Sandalwood Incense, the Waboku incense range, and the Kayuragi incense range).

Incense sold separately.
